Las habilidades del pensamiento: su olvido en los planes de estudio
Keywords:
skills, competencies, thinking, curricula, primary educationAbstract
Thinking skills have emerged as a curricular content in Mexican primary education since the 1990s. Despite their importance, research on the subject in Mexico is scarce. How were thinking skills included in primary school curricula? The objective of this research was to review the emergence and curricular transformation of thinking skills as a school content from 1993 to 2022 in primary education curricula in Mexico. The method used was interpretive historical documentation. The results reflect the permanence of the competency-based approach and, over time, the neglect of the presence and importance of skills as part of the structural nature of competencies, where they were one of the components and, ultimately, the least developed.
